Keystone Clients Say

December 10, 2000

To whom it may concern:

I attended the 2000 CSM2000 Conference in Orlando Florida this November and I had the opportunity to attend a session held by Steve Simpson, Director, Keystone Management Services. His talk, “Creating a Culture of Service” was probably the most enjoyable and thought provoking talk that I heard during the entire conference.

Luckily, I got to his session a little early and was able to get a front row seat. However, as conferences go, there were about 30 or 40 more people than there were chairs. They started the whole drawn out process of calling Conference personnel to get more chairs. Several announcements were made to the crowd by the Conference Chairman to sit tight because we wanted to make sure that everyone had a seat before we started. But as luck would have it, as they brought more chairs in, more people were pouring in as well. David Schreiber, the CSM Chairman, made the comment to Steve while we were all waiting that the “pressure was on and now he REALLY had to be good!” I started to feel bad for Steve and hoped that he did have the talent to pull this off after all of the mess it started with.

So, we started late with an overcrowded room and an additional 20-30 adults sitting on the floor surrounding Steve. (I can’t speak for everyone, but the floor just isn’t a comfortable place to be when you’re over the age of 5 and they didn’t look very happy about being there).

As Steve began, he immediately engaged the audience in laughter and in thought. His content was great and his “delivery” phenomenal. There are speakers who speak well and then there are speakers that inspire and delight. Steve is the latter of the two. That room was “alive” when Steve finished – even the ones that needed help off the floor!

I just wanted to express my appreciation to Steve. There are so many talented people in this world, but not all of them have the ability to share it with others in such a magical way.
